Overview

What R-Message does

  • R-Message is a separate system for sending email marketing campaigns.
  • It can send emails to multiple recipients at once, similar to a broadcast.
  • Customers can use R-Message directly for the described marketing activities without requiring a media buyer.

Using customer data and segments

  • R-Message retrieves customer data stored in the R-CRM database.
  • It can divide customer data into segments.
  • Customer segments can be used to send marketing communications or support a loyalty program.

Managing replies and sending test emails

  • Campaigns can include a reply-to email address so recipients’ replies are directed to that address.
  • A test email can be sent without a reply-to email address.
  • When the reply-to email is set to “Unspecified,” replies are sent to the sender email.

Viewing delivery and unsubscribe information

  • R-Message provides delivery statistics with aggregate counts, such as whether recipients opened emails.
  • It provides detailed information for emails that recipients unsubscribe from.

Using R-Message credits

  • R-Message credits can be used for SMS sending.
  • Credits can also be used for certain sales-team card-scanning activities.

Verifying a sending domain

  • Domain verification is intended to reduce the likelihood that marketing emails will be classified as spam.

  1. Create a new R-Message campaign.
  2. Enter the reply-to email address.
  3. Click Next.
  4. When the ownership-verification popup appears, verify ownership using the verification code sent to that email address.

Using the sender email as the reply-to address

  • Select Unspecified for the reply-to email instead of adding the address.

Verifying the sending domain

  • Verify the sending domain before R-Message can be enabled.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting reply-to email verification and replies

  • If the reply-to email verification message is not received, check the junk and spam folders.
  • Using a reply-to email address different from the sender email is recommended. Using the same address may cause confusing reply behavior or other issues in R-Message.

Avoiding system blocks when sending Email Marketing messages

  • Sending large volumes of Email Marketing messages without verifying the domain can result in the entire system being blocked.

Understanding Email Marketing reporting

  • R-Message may provide less detailed Email Marketing reporting than dedicated Email Marketing tools. Dedicated tools may report unopened messages, spam placement, and whether subsequent sends should be withheld.

Configuring and verifying a sending domain
